Transitioning to Online Learning amid COVID-19: Perspectives in a Civil Engineering Program

The transition from face-to-face classes to fully online learning (OL) during the spring semester of 2020 occurred almost globally because imposed COVID-19 lockdown. present study investigated perception and experiences undergraduate students faculty members Civil Engineering program at United Arab Emirates University concerning switching OL COVID-19. Quantitative questionnaires were distributed following end 2020. Students identified student engagement exams as major areas that require improvement. Online challenging for difficult prepare, control, administer faculty. Providing technical support is critical successful streaming courses. Initially, half surveyed began with a positive attitude toward OL, this percentage increased transition. capacity continue crisis availability recorded materials perceived by main advantages while examinations lack social interaction disadvantages.
